Super Eagles moves up two places in latest FIFA ranking

Super Eagles of Nigeria has been ranked as the 29th best footballing nation in the world, according to the latest released FIFA/Coca-Cola ranking.

The Eagle’s moved up two places in the new ranking which was released on Thursday on the official website of FIFA.

According to the ranking, Nigeria amassed a total of 1493 despite not having played a game since late 2019.

With the new ranking result, the Super Eagles of Nigeria are now ranked third in Africa. Two North African teams, Algeria and Morocco, occupy fourth and fifth position respectively.

They fall behind 2019 African Cup of Nations runner-up, Senegal, who has been ranked 20th in the world and the Carthage Eagles, Tunisia, who has been also ranked 26th in the world.

The last time Nigeria was ranked among the top 30 best footballing nations was in May 2013.

Super Eagles Manager, Gernott Rohr has successfully taken Nigeria from 67th to 29th in just four years.
