Liverpool’s Lallana moves to South Coast

Former Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has joined Brighton on a 3-year deal.

The 32-year old midfielder, whose Liverpool’s contract expires this July, joined Brighton on a free transfer after he completed his medical treatment at the Amex Stadium on Monday.

During his time with Liverpool, the Englishman won the UEFA Champions League, FIFA World Club Championship, European Super Cup, and was part of Liverpool’s historic premier league title-winning team during his 6 years stay with the Merseyside based club side.

Speaking on the signing of Lallana, Brighton head coach Graham Potter said, “There is no doubt in Adam’s quality, and if you look at his footballing CV, his ability is clear for everyone to see”.

“Adam is a really exciting signing for us, someone I am sure the supporters will be really looking forward to seeing”.

“To have both his experience and quality out on the pitch will be a great addition for us, and I know he will be an excellent role model for our younger players in the squad”.

“I am really looking forward to working with him when we return for pre-season training in a few weeks”.

After penning a 3 years deal with the seagulls, Lallana took to Instagram to voice out his excitement.

A message on his official Instagram page read, “So a new adventure begins. Couldn’t be more excited… a club with ambition and hunger to match my own. I’m ready for it, delighted and proud to be joining the Brighton family. Can’t wait to get started.”

Lallan who will wear the jersey number 14 at Brighton has scored 81 goals and made 70 assists in about 400 senior appearances.
