The Kebbi State Deputy Governor, Sama’ila Yombe Dabai has charged members of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) to focus on achieving the goals of the alumni.
The Deputy Governor stated this while receiving members of the alumni of the institute on a courtesy call in his office yesterday.
Leading members of the alumni to the Deputy Governor’s office was the Current Chairman of the Alumni Association, Sokoto State Chapter, Abubakar Muhammed Sokoto.
According to the Chairman, the visit was to present a letter of invitation to the Deputy Governor to attend a round table meeting as a resource person where issues of great concern to the association will be discussed.
“The meeting, scheduled to hold on November 3, will focus on issues bordering around security, healthcare development, and education affecting Sokoto State and other neighbouring states,” Abubakar said.
Expressing his gratitude, Sama’ila Yombe Dabai commended members of the association for the initiative.
His words: “Organising a brainstorming session and the dissemination of information through monograph, records, and reports on any aspect of the association’s activities are some of the objectives of the institute.”
“As Kebbi State has the largest number of members in the alumni association, it has become on them to ensure a smooth and successful discharge.”
