LG Chairman abducted by unknown gunmen in Kaduna

The interim Chairman of the Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Dr Katuka Humble, has been reportedly abducted by unknown gunmen.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, a source explained, “The incident occurred on Sunday as he was being conveyed on a bike to his farm, located somewhere around Kiduni village in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.”

The source, who refused to disclose his name for fear of insecurity in the state, continued: “The bandits opened fire, killing the bike man on the spot, before taking the LG chairman.”

As at the time of reporting, the Kaduna State Police Command spokesman, Mr Mohammed Jalige, has neither responded to telephone calls nor text messages that were sent to his mobile phone.
