Norwich City is the first team to be relegated from the 2019/2020 Barclay Premier League.
Their fate was sealed after they were humiliated at Carrow Road, by visiting Westham United in a game that ended 4-0, with Michail Antonio getting all four for the hammers. The result sees Westham move six points off the relegation zone.
The now demoted Canaries could only manage to accumulate 21 points from a possible 105 after matchday 35, making them the second-worst relegated team in premier league history, second only to Derby County’s 2007/2008 team which got 11 points from 38 games.
From the get-go, Norwich never looked capable of competing in English top flight. They registered just two wins in their first ten games and have failed to secure a single point since the resumption of the premier league from the Coronavirus-induced break.
Sadly, the Canaries would have to endure some tough fixtures in two of their remaining three Premier League game.
Finally, judging by the way Norwich has handled their business in the Premier League, it might take a long time before we see the boys in yellow back at the very pinnacle of English football.
