England born super eagles midfield, Joseph Oluwaseyi Temitope Ayodele-Aribo has been crowned the young player of the 2019/2020 season by his Scottish League club side, Ranger FC.
The Nigerian international got this for his outstanding performance during the season that was abruptly ended as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. He also went home with the goal of the season award for his memorable solo goal against Portuguese club Braga, a goal that proved vital for Rangers en route to the round of 16th of the Europa League.
It has been an unforgettable debut season for Joe Aribo in which he netted nine goals in all competitions.
Aribo and his Rangers side led by former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard traveled to Aberdeen on Sunday for their first game in the 2020/2021 Scottish Premier League season.
The 24-year old midfielder will hope to improve his performance from the previous season which has seen his fan base increase sporadically, with many Nigerians describing him as the new Jay-Jay Okocha of Nigerian football.
