Kebbi State has so far recorded 90 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 since the outbreak of the virus in the country.
This was stated by the Chairman, State COVIS-19 Task Force, and Health Commissioner, Jafar Muhammed at the flag-off of the distribution of relief materials in the state by the Coalition Against Covid-19 (CACOVID) in Birnin Kebbi.
“Kebbi State has so far recorded 90 COVID-19 confirmed positive cases out of the 648 suspected cases investigated by the State Covid-19 Task Force.”
“Out of the 90 confirmed positive cases recorded, 83 persons have been successfully treated and discharged”.
“Unfortunately, the pandemic has so far claimed 7 lives”, Jafar said.
The Chairman commended the State Governor, Atiku Bagudu for prioritizing the provision of moral and financial support to all the activities of the task force, which he said was responsible for the successes it had recorded so far.
According to him, that has made it possible for no record of pending positive cases in any of the State’s isolation centers.
