Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano will on 18th August flag off the COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Project Training.
The programme is aimed at training persons on the infection, prevention and control of COVID-19 by the Anambra State branch of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA).
Dr. Jide Onyekwelu, the Chairman, Anambra State branch of the Nigeria Medical Association, disclosed this in a statement that was made available to Hanoky Media on Thursday.
According to the NMA chairman, the training was being facilitated by the National Center for Disease Control, (NCDC) and funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross.
He said training is being anchored by Anambra State NMA Taskforce for COVID-19 and other Infectious Diseases.
According to him, the COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Project training would feature the training of trainers (TOT) on IPC .
The Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr Vincent Opkala is expected to be a Special Guest of Honour at the event.
