The Association of War against Corruption in Nigeria (WAC) has called on the federal and state governments to open anti-corruption departments at all levels – ministries, parastatals, and agencies.
The Group explained that the approach would bring sanity to the public service sector, especially at this moment when the Buhari-led administration is seemingly making efforts in the war against corruption.
Stating further, “The war against corruption must be given special attention in the areas of security, judiciary, and press”.
The call by the group was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary-General, Malam Abdulkadir Abdullahi, and made available to Hanoky Media.
Abdullahi called on Nigerians to support the Kano State and Federal Government’s efforts in the eradication of corruption. He commended the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for supporting their campaign and giving WAC office apartments to enhance their operations in some local government councils of the state.
