PDP is still the best for Imo State – Ihedioha

Chief Emeka Ihedioha, former Governor of Imo State, over the weekend said that PDP remains the best option for the people of Imo State.

Ihedioha made this known while addressing Journalists at the Nwankwo Kanu Sports Center, Owerri where the party held its state congress.

“PDP will remain the party of the people in the state. We will win the next elections again and God will be on our side,” he said.

The former Governor noted that he was pleased with the support he got from the people of the state and urged everyone to remain faithful to God.

Chief Ihedioha who stressed that PDP is the only Democratic Party in the federation, asked those who left the party to come back.

In his words, “I am just a member of PDP and I expect everyone to identify his or her mistakes and retrace their steps”.

He also pleaded with the incoming state executives of the party to remain committed and focused.

The former Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, also charged the new party executive to guide the party to electoral victories in the coming elections.

The congress had in attendance party members of the National and State assemblies including stakeholders and delegates from the different wards of the party in Imo State.

The exercise, which was peaceful, provided Hon. Charles Ugwu as the state party chairman.
