Nigerian Super Eagles defender, Tyronne Ebuehi has joined Dutch side FC Twente on a loan from Portuguese club Benfica for the 2020/2021 season.
FC Twente on Friday announced the deal which includes an option to buy him outrightly when his loan expires.
Speaking at his unveiling ceremony, Ebuehi said, “It feels great to be here at FC Twente.”
“The conversations I had with the club were very positive, and I am looking forward to playing here.”
“In the past, I played against FC Twente with ADO.”
Twente is a big club and I want to prove myself here, and of course, help the club.”
Ebuehi, who was born in the Netherlands to a Nigerian father and a Dutch mother, started his professional career at ADO Den Haag where he spent 3 years.
The right-back made his debut for the national team of Nigeria in 2017 and was part of Nigeria’s 23-man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
His last game for the super eagles was in the friendly against Brazil.
