No fewer than eight persons were yesterday murdered by unknown gunmen in a fresh attack which occurred in Gora Gan Village, Zango Kataf Local Government Area in Kaduna State.
Several other persons who sustained several degrees of injuries are presently receiving treatment at the nearby hospital in the area.
Hanoky Media has it that security men have been drafted to restore normalcy in the affected villages.
The Vice-Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria in the area, Pastor Isaac Ango Makama who spoke to Hanoky Media, said the hoodlums invaded the Village at around 7 pm.
Makama also revealed that the hoodlums were over 50 in number and were armed with sophisticated weapons. He added that scores of persons were still missing while the eight persons that were killed during the attack have been taken to the Zonkwa General Hospital, where their bodies have been deposited at the mortuary.
“We are using this opportunity to call on meaning individuals and organizations to come to the aid of displaced persons”.
“They need foodstuffs, water, and foam to survive at this moment,” he appealed.
Similarly, Secretary of Mercy Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) in the area, Mr. Ezekiel James Secretary said that the camp has registered over 559 people who fled from neighbouring Villages.
He added that the displaced persons in the camp were also in need of drugs.
James however appealed to privileged individuals to see the need of extending their kind gestures towards the challenges and plight of the internally displaced persons in the area.
