The lawmaker representing Ezza south/Ikwo federal constituency, Hon. Chinedu Ogah has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to include indigenes of Ebonyi state in the list of nominated career Ambassadors of the nation.
The President’s ambassador designate list was made public on Tuesday and it was contained in a letter addressed to the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.
The letter further appealed to the leadership of senate to confirm the nominees.
Ogah, is the only Ebonyi lawmaker on the platform of All Progressives Congress(APC).
In a statement he issued in Abakaliki, he said that there is no genuine reason for excluded of a state from the list.
He insisted that Ebonyi supported and voted for the President massively in the 2019 presidential election.
He said “whenever an appointment is to be made, the principle of federal character commission should be used to give every zone sense of belonging. It promotes equity, oneness, and justice”, he explained.
