The Kaduna State Government has relaxed the 24-hour curfew imposed on Jema’a and Kaura local government areas of the state.

Hanoky Media has gathered that the 24-hour curfew was imposed on Jema’a and Kaura following attacks in Zikpak Chiefdom on 24th July 2020.

The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, made this known in a statement signed and made available to Hanoky Media.

The Commissioner explained that the order was a result of a review by the military and the police that carried out internal security operations in the area.

“The curfew hours in Kaura and Jema’a local government area will be relaxed from 6 pm to 6 am daily”.

In the same vein, the 24-hour curfew imposed in Zangon Kataf and Kauru local government areas will be sustained, while close monitoring of the security situation in the two local government areas will continue”, He added

“The curfew in Zangon Kataf and Kauru LGAs has entered the 9th week following the Southern Kaduna crisis which started from the areas”.

His words, “Security personnel have arrested some suspects who were said to be involved in the attacks. The situation in the southern part of the state is still delicate”.

The military disclosed on Thursday that it would be sending in her special forces to all the crisis areas in Southern Kaduna to maintain peace and order.
